Say, did you have time to call Pastor Randy? Or at least leave him a message with Geana? Give it a try, it will encourage both of ya. See ya.

In Pursuit of Holiness

March 10th, 2009

GOT RAIN?

God requires us that we would be a holy people.  We have to be accountable for our lifestyles, conversations, and giftings.  People have tried to make it off their talents.  Talent is not enough. It is the anointing.  God is calling us to a higher level of accountability in our daily lives.  We must begin to critically review every area of our lives to insure that we are pleasing God.  Holiness is not only what you do in public but what you do in private as well.  God tells us in Hebrews 12:14 that without holiness no man shall see the face of God.  God is moving.  Will we go with him or be left behind?  We are all responsible to accurately teach God’s word.  Sometimes the only Jesus people see is the life we live before them.  This is a serious responsibility.

Fields are coming forth from you but remember the field can’t come forth without the rain.  In this season of preparation prepare yourself for a harvest.  For with rain comes work and with work comes responsibility and with responsibility comes accountability.  Be faithful with the little and he will bless you with much.  The seed that has been planted will come forth with rain.  My question for you this week is are you prepared for rain?  Got rain?  Act 3:19 declares that if we will repent from secret sins and turn back to God the times of refreshing and revitalization will come from the presence of the Lord.  There are certain things you will never receive unless you get it from his presence.

Eph. 4:29 says “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit all who listen.”

The scripture declares that our words are seeds waiting to be watered.  What you speak is what will manifest in your life.  What do you want your harvest to be?  Blessings or curses?

Eph. 5:3 says “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality or any kind of impurity because these are improper for God’s holy people.”

Not only does God hold us accountable for our words but he requires holiness in our conduct and our behavior.  Not only is God a God of love but he requires obedience.

Eph.5:4-11 says “There should be no obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking which is out of place, but rather thanksgiving.  For of this you can be sure:  No immoral, impure or greedy person has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.  Because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.  Therefore do not be partners with them.  Live as children of light.  Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

Much To Do In the Months Ahead

November 3rd, 2008

Praise God!

We have many things to be thankful for at Fountain of Life! We are growing and maturing to the Acts 2 church that God has called us to be. Many events are going to take place in the upcoming months. Please be in prayer for lost souls to be saved, lives changed and for God to be glorified! I need all Board Members, Ministry Leaders, Teachers and all Members to attend our ABG/Vision Night on Sunday, November 9th at 6:00 p.m. to make our church meeting a success. We will start this night off at 5:00 p.m. with a soup and salad dinner and a time of fellowship then, make our way in the sanctuary for a time of worship, the meeting, water baptism and communion.

Of course, with all great events, your assistance is needed! It is because of your generous giving of time and effort and your financial blessings that we are able to bless others and be the shining light of Jesus Christ to our community. Where no one stands alone.

In His Service,
Pastor Randy

P.S. It looks like October and November will definitely be months to remember. See you in church and always make sure to invite someone to come with you!

Step Out of Your Box and Let God Color Your World

May 16th, 2008

To all who helped with the events this past weekend, thank you so much. Our prayers are with the Dottie Rambo family as they go through this time of sorrow.

As I sit at my desk and look back at the past few months we can surely see God’s hand of blessing, protection, provision and faithfulness to us as a body. We are in exciting times as we enter the summer months here at Fountain of Life Church. With Vacation Bible School, FLC Carnival, Youth and Children’s camps, Promise Keeper’s Pastor’s Conference and that’s just to name a few, we are really moving around here.

Today we stand at the crossroads as we look into God’s Word of Proverbs 29:18 which proclaims, “where there is no vision people perish.” The vision God has given is BIG and now is the time for each one to step up to the plate and be faithful with time, talent, tithes and their prayer.

As I watched the news last night they were saying that starting in the fall the public schools will be offering a course about the Bible. More now than ever it is the Church’s responsibility to step up and do whatever we can to get this nation back to the Word of God. I’d love to hear your comments about what you think about Bible being taught in the schools.

To all who read this page let this be a summer of homeruns and always remember, here at Fountain of Life Church we are going places! I look forward to hearing your feed back. See you at The Link Café on Sunday!

Coloring your world,
Pastor Randy
